Dan Brown's books

Just finished reading the 3 Dan Brown books that feature the fictional symbology professor Robert Langdon viz., Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, and The Lost Symbol. I must say the books are good/interesting/compelling to read, and well-paced, but he does go on and on a bit with digressions into what is obviously his own personal theology.

Da vinci code tries to show how Jesus' bloodline still exists - as you no doubt know - and it's been since debunked as based on a single book that was based on a hoax. Angels and Demons, as you no doubt know from the movie as well, tries to reconcile particle physics with god. Then the latest one - Lost Symbol, use the freemasons as a vehicle for some kind of theology/interpretation of god as being the great secret that they guard. I felt quite depressed after reading this, that such an obviously intelligent man could write such theological balderdash. The last two chapters were plainly an attempt at theorising about the nature of god.
